IN-DEPTH Background/personality info:

It's a-me! Nariodattebayo~!

Nario is a loser who lives in the Mushroom Village, in a team with Sakura-omb and Princess Toadsuke with Kakashi-muffin as their teacher. Despite being the "hero" of the "story," he's a pretty bad one, considering he'd rather eat spaghetti than save Toadsuke, and is so retarded that he succeeds in tough situations through sheer dumb luck or someone else saving him rather than any sort of skill. And when neither works...he's pretty useless. Nario is completely oblivious to his idiocy, mistaking awkward pauses for dumbfoundment at his amazingness, and also considering himself to be teh shit. Unfortunately, this is also a complete misconception, seeing as the weakling gets knocked out after a measly kick. ...Twice. The only brilliance Nario has is his ability to point out obvious plot holes, and that he doesn't beat around the bush. Instead of pulling a bunch of ninja bullshit, he justs hacks the sucker. ...Of course, his inability to think things through almost completely cancels that out.
Nario doesn't appear to have any dreams or ambitions, and it's kinda weird that he's on this team doing missions when he seems to have no goals. He's lazy, sulking when he has to be forced to save Toadsuke with his "brother" Leegi. He's also rude, walking off while people talk to him. He's also ridiculously stubborn, refusing to give up on trying to cheat and open up a Shine through I'm-too-lazy-to-count-but-there-are-a-lot strips. He likes to whine and complain a lot too. He might have a little problem assuming people's gayness, even his own, possibly because he's been called fag too much by Toadsuke for too long. His endless curiosity is also horribly obnoxious. As well as his huge and inappropriately timed appetite.
As far as his relationships go, he doesn't seem to really care for anyone very much except Toadsuke. He hides the fact that Toadsuke's constant fag insults hurt him, and does seem to want to be friends with him/her. (Actually, he's so stupid that he doesn't seem to realize that his anger at not being included in things indicates that he's lonely. He's also desperate for a father figure.) He also gets angry when he misunderstands a situation, thinking Toadsuke was hurt by the enemy Hakudo, and going ape-shit on his/her ass.
He cares very little about Sakura-omb, carrying around her decapitated head after her self-detonation without blinking. As for Kakashi-muffin, Nario doesn't even seem fit to bother remembering he exists, and only lets himself get bullied by the teacher after he does. He does, however, seem to get rather attached to Kabumek and is surprised and hurt when he leaves the Mushroom Cup Finals and calls him a fag.

This would be Nario right after his victory in the Mushroom Cup Finals, right as Toadsuke reappears in the comic.
